In May 2025 we had a group visiting, where the topic was: “From Soviet vassal to modern EU country. We visited, among other places, Akniste and went out to see where a lot of Jews had been shot. Later we were far out in the forest, where the Latvian freedom fighters had hidden, but were discovered and shot by the Russians.”
